Modified: April 4, 2017 - 12:45 PM

Save the first weekend in May!  We hope you and your staff will join us for an exciting weekend of orthodontic courses offering valuable educational opportunities that will greatly benefit you and your team. For the doctors, session 5 of the Gerety Comprehensive Orthodontic Education Program will be a complete review of our first 4 sessions, along with case presentations from Dr. Michael Auld utilizing the lip bumper technique to establish the lower arch. We are also offering Kay's Advanced Orthodontic Training for Assistants to train them to perform more of the mechanics of the Gerety straight wire system. It is a win-win for your whole office! Session 5 is an ideal occasion for doctors who are not enrolled in the entire program to attend as Monitors, and at the same time provide their staff with the knowledge and hands on training they will learn in Kay's assistant training.  Kay's course is the perfect opportunity for you to provide your staff with the knowledge and confidence they need to successfully perform the duties you choose to delegate. These courses will be held the weekend of May 5-7 at the Crowne Plaza Southern Hills in Tulsa.

Session 5 Review for Doctors

This is the most popular session for our past students to attend as Monitors!  We welcome all of our past students to join us for a review of Big Bob's program and for the opportunity to see old friends and to make new friends as well.  As students of Big Bob you know the importance that he has always placed on monitoring, it is such an important key for staying up to date and refreshing what you have learned.  It is also so very valuable for the new students to be able to hear your experiences and to see how you are putting our course into action.  We hope that you will join us, and please bring cases that you would like us to help you with or that you would like to share with the class.  You are also invited to join us for a happy hour reception as we celebrate the graduation of our current class on Saturday, it will be a wonderful opportunity for us to catch up with you, too! The tuition to attend as a monitor is only $500 and offers 20 CE hours.  We hope to see you again in Tulsa!

Advanced Assistant Training for Auxiliaries

We recognize that the success of a dental practice, along with the successful incorporation of orthodontics into a dental practice can depend on the education and training of the staff; with that in mind we designed this course to help fulfill those needs. This 2 day course features lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises and is designed to meet the needs of the doctor and assistants who are currently utilizing Straight Wire mechanics and would like to expand the delegable duties to be performed by the orthodontic assistant. While this is not a beginning course, it is an excellent follow-up for assistants who have previously participated in the Basic Assistant course or who have extensive experience in orthodontic assisting. It is recommended that participants be familiar with ligation methods, and general monthly maintenance procedures. To be as successful in class as possible each assistant should be comfortable with basic orthodontic treatment concepts.

This is a wonderful opportunity to provide your staff with additional orthodontic training and to encourage their professional growth!
