Embracing a New Era

AN OPPORTUNITY TO MONITOR THE COMPREHENSIVE ORTHO COURSE IN TULSA FOR FREE!

Modified: March 25, 2016 - 05:04 AM by Robert Gerety

We are so looking forward to being back in the classroom again presenting the Robert Gerety Comprehensive Orthodontic Education Program!   We are inviting all of our past students to join us and participate as monitors with the hope that you will all come and review the treatment mechanics and philosophy that Big Bob Gerety developed and taught for so many years.  If you are looking to continue your orthodontic studies and feel that it is important to continue to build on  the orthodontic techniques that you have already been introduced to, or want to  refine your mechanics,  than we encourage you to register as a monitor in our Tulsa Comprehensive Ortho Course.  As a past student of Dr Gerety you know that the addition of orthodontics to your practice not only increases your profitability, but also adds a new and challenging dimension of service to your patients and practice.  Our ortho courses will show you innovative solutions that will make orthodontics fun, easy, rewarding and profitable.

Because we believe that our past students are a valuable part of our ortho seminars, we are offering a special opportunity for all past students of Dr. Gerety to attend the Comprehensive Ortho course in Tulsa either free, or with a 50% discount….that is up to you to decide which!  Monitors are encouraged to attend all 5 of our sessions, or you can choose individual sessions that fit into your schedule.  If you register per session, the tuition is 50% off, or $500 per session.  If you register for all 5 sessions in advance then the total tuition for all 5 sessions is only $1995, that is a $500 savings!  Our best offer is to attend for free!  We will waive your entire tuition for all 5 sessions when you refer a colleague to our course as a first year student.  When they register for the course, be certain they give us your name as their referral source and you can attend any or all of the sessions free of charge.

Just as before, this comprehensive, five-session (100-hour) seminar series will focus on the fundamentals of orthodontics and is designed exactly as you would treat a patient, from diagnosis and treatment planning to case finishing mechanics.  The lecture will include both didactic and hands-on instruction with typodonts to facilitate your understanding of our curriculum. The third day of each session is completely devoted to case diagnosis, treatment planning, and problem solving of cases in treatment. Each participant will have the opportunity to present cases for help with initial diagnosis or cases that are in treatment. Not only will you receive advice on your individual cases, but because of the participation of the other doctors, both first-year and second-year attendees, you will see hundreds of cases presented and discussed. This exposure to many different treatment objectives and solutions is an invaluable part of the program.

The course will be presented by Kay Gerety and Dr. Joe Schmidbauer. Dr. Schmidbauer is an experienced general practitioner from Oregon, Ohio who has been carefully selected to work with Kay to present the most popular GP comprehensive orthodontics course in America, taught for 35 years by Dr. Robert G. Gerety. After completing Dr. Gerety’s Comprehensive Orthodontic Education program in 1989, Dr. Schmidbauer incorporated orthodontics into his practice and has continued to build that practice component utilizing a nonextraction philosophy for 26 years, completing over 2,000 cases. Dr. Schmidbauer is a member of the American Orthodontic Society of which he is a past president and lecturer. He is currently a member of the Board of Examiners for the AOS and is teaching a basic Straight-Wire program in Atlanta, his focus being the teaching philosophy and mechanics of Dr. Robert G. Gerety.

Kay Gerety assisted Dr. Bob Gerety in teaching their Straight-Wire Orthodontic courses for over 30 years and has been an immeasurable asset to the Comprehensive Orthodontic program. During this same time period, she has taught her own assistant’s clinical program in conjunction with Dr. Gerety’s courses. In addition to the clinical programs, she has lectured extensively on Orthodontic Integration and Profitability, Practice Management and Marketing, and Effective Staff Utilization. Kay is an associate member of the American Orthodontic Society and is an honored recipient of the George R. Roland Award for Outstanding Service to the organization. A highly enthusiastic presenter, Kay is motivating, as well as knowledgeable, enabling you and your staff to return to your practice with a renewed excitement and enthusiasm for dentistry.
