"Developing Pathways to Orthodontic Excellence" – A Two Day Update and Case Finishing Program
About the Course
This two-day course is structured for the doctor that is currently practicing the Straight Wire technique, and is looking for a program to update and expose current trends and techniques in orthodontics. From case selection and diagnosis, our goal is always the same and that is to finish the case to the highest standard possible. What we don’t always realize is that what we do initially, in our case preparation and treatment planning, can determine the outcome of the case. By developing pathways beginning with the initial screening and observation, orthodontic records and examination all the way to case finishing, we are establishing a protocol for success. A complete and thorough examination and diagnosis can eliminate a lot of the complications of case finishing. In addition to the case finishing mechanics that will be presented, we would like to outline a comprehensive protocol to guide you through excellent treatment results.
On the second day, Dr. Resnick will focus on one of the often overlooked aspects of orthodontics and that is early interceptive phase I treatment. Not only is this facet of orthodontics a comfortable entry level for dentists that are new to orthodontics, it can be one of the most important parts of the comprehensive plan. This presentation will show the long term arch development with early treatment and dispel the myth that you cannot develop/broaden the lower arch. Learn our "FIVE INDICATIONS" that necessitate early treatment intervention. She will then progress into case finishing, difficult cases requiring advanced treatment mechanics and adult treatment.
NEED HANDS-ON INSTRUCTION? Do you have a particular task or procedure that you would like to see demonstrated? Bring your questions to the meeting and we will have a demonstration clinic immediately following class on Friday. Meet with the three instructors for a clinical session presenting any specific mechanic or procedure that you would like to see completed.
