We are very excited to present a completely restructured Basic Orthodontic course for the dental auxiliary Due to the increased usage of third party ceph tracing services and digital tracing software, we have decided to remove the clinical portion of ceph tracing. This will allow more time to focus on the clinical procedures that will better serve the doctor in their day to day delivery of patient care. We listened to your requests and are introducing a clinical photography module to the basic program. Our goal is to teach proper techniques and procedures for producing consistent high quality images for orthodontic documentation. Each office that is represented is encouraged to bring their camera in order for us to customize their procedures and settings. We plan to set up multiple stations in the classroom so that each assistant can produce a complete set of images that meet the standard of care guidelines. For those doctors that would like to take advantage of cephalometric tracing, an optional Sunday morning session is available for 199. Our March courses in Tulsa were phenomenal There was excitement in the air all weekend as we presented the fourth session of the Robert Gerety Comprehensive Orthodontic Education Program, Kay Gerety's newly updated Basic Ortho Training for Assistants, and the brand new Cephalometric Tracing Course for Assistants. Our goal for the weekend was to teach Interceptive Early Treatment to the doctors in the comprehensive ortho program and to introduce orthodontics to the staff members in the Assistant courses. It was such a pleasure to welcome back to the Comprehensive course so many of our friends from past courses who attended this weekend as monitors. It was so nice to get caught up with each other's news, and to see them sharing their cases and experience with our new students was very rewarding. Perhaps the brightest part of the weekend was Big Bob's attendance on Saturday. Big Bob surprised the class with an incredible lecture on the MDA appliance and shared his cases with them, it was truly magical Big Bob thoroughly enjoyed being back in front of a class. Tulsa opened up her arms and welcomed our students with an absolutely beautiful weekend with lots of sunshine and warm weather. The only sign of Fall was the beautiful color of the trees that were proudly showing off their leaves that were ready to fall. Of course, Fall is also a time for school and we did have a thoroughly enjoyable weekend with an incredibly bright and enthusiastic class that was not only fun but was also productive and focused. This ortho course is structured for the general dentist with no orthodontic training other than dental school. Each of our sessions builds on information, presented in the same sequence you will encounter in treatment delivery. Our format for each of the sessions is to have a blend of lectures, hands-on exercises, case review and group discussions. When our students complete this course, they will have the knowledge, skill, and confidence to treat 80 of the malocclusions that come into their office. It was an incredibly fulfilling experience to be in the classroom presenting Big Bob's ortho course to such a wonderful and enthusiastic group This is our third year teaching our ortho course in Tulsa and it is thrilling to see our group growing. It s not too late to join our course, we are still welcoming doctors who want to learn orthodontics. Our full course is available online, which means you can make-up session one online and still join our classroom in November. We established a big goal for session one and had lots of information to cover, with our focal point being the initial stages of treatment.
