What a wonderful Spring weekend we had for our March courses Tulsa really rolled out the red carpet for our students and gave us a glorious weekend. The weather was lovely outside, but the real excitement was inside where we had an amazing weekend presenting two courses in Tulsa, the fourth session of the Robert Gerety Comprehensive Orthodontic Education Program and Kay Gerety's Basic Ortho Training for Assistants. Our goal for the weekend was to teach Interceptive Early Treatment to the doctors in the comprehensive ortho program and to introduce orthodontics to the staff members in the Basic Assistant course. We would like to thank our special guest for the weekend, Dr Damon Huffman, who helped out the assistants with the clinical photography and did an online presentation on utilization of the forum with the doctors. We are looking forward to our May course when he is going to present a Lunch Learn to the doctors class Kay had a very enthusiastic group of auxiliaries in her Basic Assistant course and we sincerely appreciate all who attended and hope that they enjoyed the experience as much as we did. Kay presented a completely restructured Basic Orthodontic course for the dental ...

It was such a pleasure to see so many of our friends from past ortho courses as well as the opportunity to meet and make so many new friends too. Our objectives for the weekend were to present an inter-active educational program that was informative and enjoyable for our students, and to have some fun along the way, encouraging our students to share their experiences and knowledge with each other as we strive to carry on the orthodontic teaching of Big Bob Gerety. We achieved each of these goals and had an absolutely remarkable weekend In order to accommplish our weekend goals, it took the dedication and passion of an absolutely stellar team. We want to recognize and give huge high-fives to our spectacular group: Dr Debra Ettle-Resnick Dr Damon Huffman Dr Joseph Schmidbauer Hard Rock Hotel Casino Our mission is to carry on the orthodontic teachings of Big Bob, who is one of the most respected instructors and clinicians in the orthodontic ...
Graduations are celebrated all over the country this time of the year, and we had the opportunity to celebrate too as we honored the achievements of this year's graduating class of the Robert G Gerety Orthodontic Education Program in Tulsa. While we worked hard presenting our two courses, the fifth session of the Comprehensive Ortho course and Kay Gerety's Advanced Orthodontics for Assistants, we made time for some fun as well. On Saturday we had our graduation party to recognize the accomplishments of this year's students, with the highlight of the night presenting the certificates to our course participants. It was just delightful to celebrate with yet another new class of students and to visit with so many of our past students who were attending as Monitors. We have always encouraged our students to return as Monitors; they are a perfect example that graduation is not the end, graduation is just the beginning Our goals for session 5 of the doctor's comprehensive ortho course were to do a complete review of the previous sessions and to reinforce the material that the students wanted clarified. Dr Joe Schmidbauer did a thoroughly professional job of covering a broad range of topics and ...

It is a win-win for your whole office The Interceptive Treatment lecture is an ideal occasion for doctors who are not enrolled in the entire program to attend as Monitors, and at the same time provide their staff with the knowledge and hands on training they will learn in Kay's introduction to ortho for your auxiliary. Kay's course is the perfect opportunity for you to begin the process of providing your staff with the knowledge and confidence they need to successfully perform the duties you choose to delegate. These courses will be held the weekend of March 13-15 at the Crowne Plaza Southern Hills in Tulsa. We have just completed session three of the Comprehensive ortho course and it was an outstanding experience for all of us. Delightful doesn't say enough about our weekend course in Tulsa. We have such a bright and enthusiastic class of new students that were not only fun but also productive and focused. In addition to our new students, a good number of monitors joined us for session two as well. A highlight of the weekend was a visit from Big Bob. It was an incredible learning experience for all of us Big Bob has always emphasized the importance of monitoring, not only for the continued growth of the student themselves, but their attendance and input as mentors contribute so much to the development of the newer students. One of our monitors, Dr Michael Auld who graduated with our first class in Tulsa just 3 years ago, attended and offered to display models of his completed cases for our class to review. We are so proud of Michael and the work he is doing, and can't thank him enough for sharing his successes with the class The highlight of the weekend was Big Bob reviewing Michael's cases with him, and giving him some pointers. This ortho course is structured for the general dentist with no orthodontic training other than dental school. Each ...

We are celebrating our fourth birthday in October and want to include our members in our celebration. We recognize that each of our members contribute to our successes by visiting our website, referring their colleagues to us, and by trusting us with their orthodontic education. To show our appreciation we thought it would be fun for our members to have a drawing each week in October for a gift to express our thanks. The rules are simple, we want our membership to have fun and enjoy the celebration with us On each Monday in October we will draw a name from our friends who have made a post to The Forum page on our website, or who have replied to a post during the past week, and give a gift to each winner. Post as often as you like, but make sure you post each week to be eligible to win a gift that week. We were so happy to welcome another new class of students to the Robert Gerety Comprehensive Orthodontic Education Program in Tulsa Sept 19-21. This is the fourth year teaching our ortho course in Tulsa and it is continuing to be an incredibly fulfilling experience to be in the classroom presenting Big Bob's orthodontic program to such a wonderful and enthusiastic group It s not too late to join our course, we are still welcoming doctors who want to learn orthodontics. Our full course is available online, which means you can make-up session one online and still join our classroom in November. New students can still take advantage of the interest-free extended payment plan as well We established a big goal for session one and had lots of information to cover, with our focal point being the initial stages of treatment. We met our goal and managed to cover all of the planned topics which included proper record taking, Cephalometric analysis, diagnosis and treatment planning, and the proper placement of brackets and bands. We also discussed marketing and practice management for integrating orthodontics into your practice and how the addition of orthodontics into your practice not only increases your profitability, but ...
