August 26-27 marked our 6th Annual Case Finishing Program and what an incredible weekend we had while we Unraveled the Mysteries of Case Finishing Excellence So many people are responsible for the success of the meeting and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved. It was such a pleasure to see so many of our friends from past ortho courses as well as the opportunity to meet and make so many new friends too. Our objectives for the weekend were to present an inter-active educational program that was informative and enjoyable for our students, and to have some fun along the way, encouraging our students to share their experiences and knowledge with each other as we strive to carry on the orthodontic teaching of Big Bob Gerety. Graduations are celebrated all over the country this time of the year, and we had the opportunity to celebrate too as we honored the achievements of this year's graduating class of the Robert G Gerety Orthodontic Education Program in Tulsa. While we worked hard presenting our two courses, the fifth session of the Comprehensive Ortho course and Kay Gerety's Advanced Orthodontics for Assistants, we made time for some fun as well. On Saturday we had our graduation party to recognize the accomplishments of this year's students, with the highlight of the night presenting the certificates to our course participants. It was just delightful to celebrate with yet another new class of students and to visit with so many of our past students who were attending as Monitors. We are very excited to present a completely restructured Basic Orthodontic course for the dental auxiliary Due to the increased usage of third party ceph tracing services and digital tracing software, we have removed the clinical portion of ceph tracing from the two day program. This will allow more time to focus on the clinical procedures that will better serve the doctor in their day to day delivery of patient care. We listened to your requests and have introduced a clinical photography module to the basic program. Our goal is to teach proper techniques and procedures for producing consistent high quality images for orthodontic documentation. Each office that is represented is encouraged to bring their camera in order for us to customize their procedures and settings. Multiple stations are set-up in the classroom so that each assistant can produce a complete set of images that meet the standard of care guidelines. For those doctors that would like their staff to take advantage of cephalometric tracing, an optional Sunday morning session is available immediately following the 2 day Basic course. All materials and equipment, including tracing lights and kits, will be furnished for the Cephalometric Tracing Course, and the cost is ...

What a wonderful weekend we had for Session 2 of the Gerety Comprehensive Ortho course in Tulsa Everything was just perfect, Tulsa opened up her arms and welcomed our students with an absolutely beautiful weekend with lots of sunshine and warm weather. Session 2 was so positive that it will be hard to top, but we have big plans for Session 3 too. We are looking forward to a Lunch Learn during our January course, Dr. Damon Huffman has been gracious enough to accept Kay's invitation to share his presentation on The Art of Indirect Bracketing . Damon shared his indirect bracketing techniques with our Update course and it was so successful that we have asked him back for an encore performance.
